face:meth
Methamphetamine (meth) is a highly addictive drug that destroys lives, is extremely dangerous to make and has been linked to increased crime rates. And, meth is a real problem in Ohio.
Most users make meth themselves in a process called cooking. It takes quite a few ingredients and pieces of equipment to cook meth, but most of these items can be found right in your grocery store, large chain superstore or even your local farming supply store.
So how do we stop meth cooks from putting our community in danger?
Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray has partnered with law enforcement officials from Ashtabula County, Clermont County, Highland County and the City of Akron to develop face:meth, a program focused on fighting back.
The face:meth program is part of the Ohio Methamphetamine Pilot Initiative, funded by a grant from the Department of Justice. It asks local retailers and pharmacists to keep an eye out for meth-related purchasing in their stores and to report any suspicious activity they see.
If you have questions about face:meth, please contact the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Together, we are stronger than meth.
