Training Overview
Presented in collaboration with the National Protection Training Center and CornerHouse, this 5-day course is designed for investigative teams of law enforcement officers, social workers, prosecutors, child protection attorneys, and forensic interviewers. Students have a chance to learn the necessary skills to conduct a competent, investigative interview of a child abuse victim using the CornerHouse forensic interview process entitled RATAC®. RATAC® has been specifically recognized and approved by a number of appellate courts. This training includes lecture and discussion, review of videotaped interviews, skill-building exercises and an interview practicum. There are nightly homework assignments and a written exam.
