Labor Relations
The Labor Relations Section represents the
Ohio Department of Commerce (ODOC), Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration in enforcing Ohio’s laws on prevailing wage and minimum wage, and the State Employment Relations Board (SERB) in enforcing the Ohio Public Employee’s Collective Bargaining Act. In addition, the Section provides legal advice for the State Personnel Board of Review (SPBR) as it carries out its statutory obligations inherent in appeals of public employees in the classified state service from decision rendered by the appointing authorities (Public Employers).
Each board and agency has regulatory authority and policy making authority. The Labor Relations Section represents these agencies in administrative hearings as well as in courts throughout the state of Ohio.
The Labor Relations Section can be reached at 644-8462.
