Environmental Enforcement
The Environmental Enforcement Section (EES) represents the state agencies that oversee the use of Ohio’s natural resources, such as the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The section’s litigation includes enforcing regulatory requirements, defending administrative and rulemaking actions, appealing federal rulemaking and, in the case of the Department of Natural Resources, defense of litigation filed against the department and its staff.
In addition to its civil and administrative litigation, EES conducts criminal investigations and prosecutions.
