Diversity at the AGO

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is an inclusive and dynamic working environment. We strive to provide the best legal representation and services to the citizens of Ohio through innovative practices that draw from diverse perspectives and experiences. These practices help enrich our workplace, provide the most effective representation for our clients and ensure our programs are available and open across cultures and abilities.

We are constantly working to recruit and retain a talented and diverse workforce.  To this end, we partner with a number of organizations to enhance our mission for diversity, including the Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Toledo  Bar Associations. We offer our employees a number of opportunities to share with their coworkers what make them unique. Our Diversity Committee offers a number of informal brown bag lunches and discussions throughout the year that support our focus towards promoting and educating fellow employees on diversity-related topics. The Diversity Committee also sponsors networking groups, including our African-American Employee Network, Generations Network, and Caregiver Network. These groups are open to all AGO employees, but focus on a particular issue associated with our diversity initiatives.

Through our commitment to embracing all perspectives, we are enhancing the kind of cutting-edge thinking that enables us to provide the highest quality services to the citizens of Ohio.

The Ohio Attorney General's Office does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, physical abilities, military status, national origin or ancestry. We strive to provide the best legal representation to the state of Ohio through inclusive practices that draw from diverse perspectives and experiences. These practices help enrich our workplace, provide the most effective representation for our clients and ensure our programs are available and open across cultures and abilities.
